1. Who we are

Search IT (searchit.info) is operated by Maetheon Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales with company number 17262818, whose registered address is Office 1253, 85 Dunstall Hill, Wolverhampton, West Midlands, WV6 0SR, United Kingdom ("we", "us"). Contact: [email protected], +44 7988 748570.

2. Accepting these terms

By using Search IT or creating an account, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Refund Policy and our Listing Guidelines.

3. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and give accurate information. You are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for everything done through your account. You must confirm your email address before using your account.

4. Listings

You may only list a business you own or are authorised to represent. You are responsible for the content of your listing and confirm it is accurate and lawful. All listings are reviewed before publication, and we may refuse, edit, suspend or remove any listing that breaks these Terms or our Listing Guidelines.

5. Licence to your content

You keep ownership of the content you upload. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, adapt (for formatting) and promote it on Search IT and in our marketing while your listing is live, and for a reasonable time afterwards to remove it from caches and backups.

6. Plans and payment

Plans, prices and features are shown on our Pricing page. Prices include all taxes; we are not VAT registered. Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email; changes apply from your next renewal.

7. Your right to cancel

If you are a consumer, you normally have 14 days to cancel a contract for digital services. By asking us to start your service immediately, you agree that you lose this right once your listing has been approved and published. If we do not approve your listing, you will get a full refund. See our Refund Policy.

8. Cancelling a subscription

You may cancel at any time in Dashboard → Billing. Your listings stay live until the end of the paid period. We do not give refunds for partial periods.

9. Claiming listings

To claim a listing you must buy a plan and prove you are entitled to manage the business. We may refuse or reverse a claim if we find it is not genuine.

10. Verified badge

The badge means we reviewed documents you supplied. It is not a guarantee of the quality of your goods or services. We may remove it if documents are found to be false or out of date.

11. Bookings

Booking requests are made directly between customers and businesses. We are not a party to any booking and are not responsible for services provided by businesses.

11a. Posts, offers and messages

Offers are made by businesses, not by us; the business is responsible for honouring them. Messages must not be used for spam, harassment or unlawful content. We may read a conversation only if it is reported to us, and may block users who misuse messaging.

12. Reviews

Reviews must reflect a genuine experience. We moderate reviews and may refuse or remove reviews that break our rules. You must not post fake reviews or offer incentives for reviews.

13. Acceptable use

You must not misuse Search IT: no scraping, automated access without permission, spam, malware, attempts to break security, or illegal, misleading, defamatory or infringing content.

14. Our liability

We provide Search IT "as is". We do not guarantee any number of views, calls, bookings or search rankings. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit or business.

15. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms. If we close your account without fault on your part, we will refund any unused prepaid period. You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard.

16. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will tell you about important changes by email or on the site at least 14 days before they apply.

17. Law

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep any protections given by the law of your country.
